WHERE ARE THEY NOW?:
(Current as of September
19th, 2003)
I'm currently living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I work from home as a freelance web designer. I recently got married to my beautiful wife Ariel, thus completing my dream of marrying the Little Mermaid.
I worked for a music agency specializing in a cappella music from 1999-2000. During that time I started a semi-pro a cappella group called Hookslide (http://www.hook-slide.com). I had to drop out of the group in 2000 (due to school) but they have gone on to great success, performing around the Bay and the nation.
For the last five years, I've sung every Christmas with a professional caroling group called The Merrie Olde Christmas Carolers. Other than that, I don't get to sing as much as I'd like, but am hoping to get back into music and theatre soon.
FAVORITE THOSE MEMORIES!:
• Serenading the girls of
Grossmont Hall was always a blast. This was usually a spontaneous performance
which happened at the end of a particularly boring rehearsal. It was a
lot of fun singing for the ladies and it also helped rid us of our "stage
nerves."
• In our first year, one of our Tenors, Jared Hathaway, arranged for us to go to Disneyland for free. We sang all over that park and received many standing ovations from people standing in line (who were standing anyways!) By the end of the night, we were exhausted, hyped up on sugar, and one of our tenors had blown his voice out, but we were happy.
• Singing Take 6's version of Hark the Herald Angels Sing in the Feast of Lights in our first year was a proud accomplishment. It was a very tough arrangement and we pulled it off pretty darn well.
• The various incarnations of Ross's long, held-out "MYYYYYYY" in the middle of "My Shoes".
