WHERE ARE THEY NOW?:
(Current as of August
2004)
Christopher is a musician and actor who has appeared in various community theater productions in the last three years. His portrayal of Tobias in "Sweeney Todd" at the 2002 Redlands Theater Festival earned him two RTF awards and an Inland Theater League Awards nomination. Since then, he has appeared as Prez in "The Pajama Game," Nigel in "Something's Afoot" and Sim in "Wild Oats," all at RTF. He has also appeared as the drummer in "Pump Boys And Dinettes"--for which he won another ITL award--and Dennis in "Sanders Family Christmas," both at the Rialto Community Playhouse. In 2004, he was promoted to Resident Artist status at the Redlands Theatre Festival. Christopher is finally getting back into writing and recording his own music, mostly inspired by synthpop and new wave.

FAVORITE THOSE MEMORIES!:
My favorite memories of
Those Guys! are both plentiful and esoteric, so please bear with me.
(Hey, I am the webmaster.)
One of Those Guys!' standout gigs, in my mind, was when we sang a gig for Devin's father at San Bernardino Valley College. We performed in a small art gallery for various artistic types and there was a very cool vibe there. In short, the audience was generally older and really "got" what we were doing, and that made it a pleasure. Larry Klimek had just joined the group and still had long hair.
Having the honor of singing at Merilyn Bonney's memorial service in the chapel. We performed the U of R Alma Mater and the entire audience stood up, weeping. It took all the strength we had to get through it.
Performing "The '80s Medley" at our Spring concert in the chapel. We decorated the stage with various '80s ephemera...half of my garage was up there.
Dressing in drag with Ross as "Bosom Buddies" Buffy and Hildegarde for the "TV Medley" concert.
Hearing Teron perform "Easy," especially at his Junior recital (as heard on "Colton Avenue").
Devin and I locking ourselves in the piano lab for hours on end, punching up arrangements for the "The '80s Medley."
Putting a cape on Ross every time we did "My Shoes"--a la James Brown--just before he sang his high G.
The Disneyland trips. On our first trip, at the end of the day, we were in line for Space Mountain and the ride broke down. We entertained people in line, even though our voices were completely shot.
My first year in Those Guys!--also my Freshman year at the U of R--was probably the most pleasurable one for me. We did many gigs, and I was just a singer, so I didn't have any directorial headaches.
World A Cappella Fest '98, where we partied with The Bobs and Rockapella. I'll never forget the look on Matthew "Bob" Stull's face as we performed "Only A Lad" for him.
Larry Klimek's vibe. He always had a smile on his face, was quick with a quip and a laugh and could just cut the tension in the room in half with a simple comment. He was a vital asset to our group.
"That Album!" took two days to record. At the end of the second and final session, Jared Hathaway--who was a graduating senior--look at us and said, very earnestly, "I want you all to know that this has absolutely been the highlight of my college career."
